Treasurer's Report: Current amount in checking: $1678.33; The CD is up for renewal. We have 10 days to make a decision. We don't have any current plans to give a scholarship, so the decision was made to leave the money on the CD.

Old Business:
Med-Surg Medley:
Diabetes speakers: Sylvia Denton will be the nurse speaker. Juanita is working on contacting the Lilly rep and the Lantus rep to see if they will provide a physician speaker. If that doesn't work out, she will ask Dr. Kauppi to speak.
Pain management speaker: Dr. Waller from the Pain Clinic has confirmed to speak. She asked to speak in the morning due to her schedule. We still need a nurse speaker on this topic. Karen has been trying to contact the Pain Clinic to see if a nurse from there can speak. Other suggestions were alternative methods, such as biofeedback, massage, chiropractic. Karen will ask Dr. Waller if she has suggestions. Juanita will ask the massage therapist/yoga instructor at Mind/Body Studio about speaking or being a vendor. Another possible speaker is the chiropractor who spoke for us several years ago. Allison was the contact person. Juanita will ask Allison to contact him.
Vendors: The vendor letter is ready to be sent out. The vendor table sponsorship fee is $100. Abbott already agreed to be a vendor. Karen now works for Generation Solutions, they have agreed to be a vendor. Super Shoes was suggested, Karen will contact them. Melissa will contact Lincare. Western Ways sells Dansko shoes. Karen will contact them. Vitamin Shoppe was suggested, Susan will contact them. All members are asked to contact one potential vendor.
Registration: Melissa will be the contact person to collect the registration fees. Judy will work the registration table the day of the seminar.
Flyer: Cindy will develop draft flyer to bring to the next meeting. Karen will contact DOE (Workforce Development) to see if they can help with printing or mailing.
Planning meeting: A planning meeting was set for April 7 at 6 pm at Ruby Tuesday for everyone helping with Med-Surg Medley.

Volunteer opportunities:
CB Fleet: Health Fair April 22. Need volunteers from 0630 - 1130 and 1500 - 2100.
Progress Printing: Health Fair May 5. Need volunteers from 1500 - 1830.

2009 Meeting topics: May: Judy has been working on contacting the Cathflo rep to speak at the May meeting. She will continue contact the IV specialist again to get the rep's contact information.

New Business:
Student member: The group welcomed student member Susan Bates to the chapter. Susan is graduation from LGH School of Nursing in May.

Educational Program: Dr. C. J. Stands spoke about the DaVinci robotic surgery.
