• In March, the chapter sponsored one nurse kit for a nursing student in Jamaica. The Central Virginia Medical Mission Team visits Morant Bay, Jamaica each year to take supplies and hold clinics.
  
• A poster display about AMSN and the Blue Ridge Chapter was included in displays about various nursing organizations for Nurses Week at Virginia Baptist Hospital and Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, VA.
• In March and November, the chapter collected clothing and toiletry items for donation to the Network for Women in Crisis. The Network for Women in Crisis is a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
  
• The Blue Ridge Chapter was presented the chapter achievement award for Political and Legislative Activities at the 12th AMSN National Convention held in Reno, NV.
