Treasurer’s Report: Given by Melissa Motley. $990 to date earned from Med-Surg Medley. $150 expenses so far for gift cards, bill for food has not yet been received. Total of $748.86 on CD, $3351.33 in checking.

The following people volunteered to bring snacks for the 2011 meetings:

The dinner meeting will be on November 21.

2011 Med-Surg Medley:
Planner: Ask Linda Jenkins if she will be the planner again.
Potential dates: September 16, 23, 30. Judy will check availability of the First Colony room or VBH Auditorium.

Wound Care: Potential speakers: Starr Shank, PT : pulsed lavage, ultrasound, etc; KCI rep.; someone from the Wound Care Center
Obstructive Sleep Apnea: Potential speakers: Dr. Donegan, pt's perspective; Mary Lavendar, RT, CPAP machines; Tracy Langeback, NP, sleep lab; Dr. Plankeel

Election of Officers: After discussion, it was decided to postpone the election of officers to a later meeting once we have more members.

Community Projects:
Possible community projects discussed were:
canned food drive at Med-Surg Medley, ask attendees to bring items
volunteer to work at soup kitchen, wear shirts with AMSN logo. Juanita will check into having shirts made.

Recruiting new members: The need to recruit new members was discussed. Cindy is going to start a Facebook page for the chapter. This may possibly help recruit members.
