Treasurer's Report: Given by Melissa Motley. Total of $762.07 on CD, $3872.98 in checking. A profit of $890 was made on the seminar. $153 spent on gift cards for the speakers.

New Business:

Topics for 2011 meetings:
The following topics and potential speakers for 2011 were discussed:

• Geri-Psych vs Med-Surg - how it is determined which unit is the best for the patient - Dr. Betz
  
• Pharmacy update - IV Tylenol, Zosyn - Ask a drug rep to come. Judy will ask for March
  
• Post-Op Mastectomy Care - reasons glucose is checked, nitropaste given
  
• PCU's topic from research seminar
  
• Simulation lab - Johanna Derrenbacher. Cindy will ask for January
  
• Legislative Update - review of candidates. Possibly combine with VNA for their legislative meeting. Cindy will contact Anne Marie Caylor. Other possibilities would be a professor from Lynchburg College or Randolph College or possibly Michael Bryant.

Community Service: A decision was made to adopt an angel (either child or senior) and spend up to $100. Melissa will shop.

Scholarship: The possibility of reinstating the scholarship was discussed. There may be a lot of interest now that so many people are in the RN -BSN completion program. The scholarship might help publicize the chapter and increase our membership. This will be discussed further at the January meeting.
